There's a party on my nails! My NYE Mani....Glitter Bomb!

Happy New Years Eve! :-) Do you have big plans tonight? Are you staying in, or going out? Hubby and I, are going to stay in with the pets, and be warm and comfy. It's cold here! Yesterday, it was 65 degree and today it's going to get down to 14! Crazy Kansas weather! Anyway, We're going to eat lots of junk food, watch movies and play the Wii in our jammies. :-)

For my New Year's Eve mani I started out with Sally Hansen Midnight in New York, which is a black creme with micro rainbow glitter. It's really pretty, but the glitter is a bit hard to see, unless you look real close. I decided I wanted a bit more sparkle so I added NYX Asphalt which is also a black with rainbow glitter. The difference is, the glitter is bigger and not micro. I really liked this look too, but decided to go for more sparkle and I added Milani Gems to it. :-)

First, here is the finished product...

Here is Sally Hansen Midnight in New York (if you click on the pics. you can kinda see the glitter)

Whatever you are doing tonight, I hope you all have a fun and safe night! :-)

Spring 2011 Essie Coat Azure, and new Essie bottle

Good afternoon! :-) Did you all survive the holidays? We had a great Christmas, but Sun. night we all ended up sick! Ugh. Everyone in the house spent yesterday in bed, including one of the dogs. Feeling better today, but not great. I'm sure most of you have read that Walmart is now carrying Essie. The bottles have changed. The front now has a sticker with Essie printed in white lettering. I know quite a few MUA's don't like the new bottle. Me? I personally don't care what bottles look like, if I like what I see inside the bottle. I saw the display the other day while I was in WM. They had a few of the new Spring 2011 colors out. Not the entire line, but there were at least five. The only one that appealed to me was Coat Azure, so I grabbed it. It's a pretty dusty blue with hidden blue shimmer. I used two coats, but could have actually gotten away with one. I had a bit of brush streak so I did two.

The next two pics. you are able to see the shimmer a little better.

The sides have the same lettering style as the old bottle.

What do you think of the new bottle? Like it,hate it, or doesn't really matter to you?

Barielle Elle's Spell

Happy Christmas Eve!!! :-) Do you have any plans for today/tonight? We had Christmas with my family last night. Then tomorrow, we are driving about four hours to be with some more of my family, and have Christmas again. Hubby, stepson,I, and our pets will have a little Christmas dinner and gift exchange tonight. It's snowing here too! So maybe we'll have a white Christmas, if it sticks. Whatever you are doing, I hope you all have a safe, fun and very Merry Christmas! If you don't celebrate Christmas, then Happy Holidays! :-)

For my mani last night, I did Barielle Elle's Spell. This is an INSANELY gorgeous polish. I need to get a back up right away. I'm absolutely in love with it. It's a deep red jelly base, with red and amber colored flakes. This polish is perfection to me! :-) I've been waiting for a polish like this for a long time. I used two coats, and application was great.

I strongly suggest you click on the pics. to see how pretty this polish really is. ;-)

Thanks for looking, and I hope you all have a wonderful day! :-)

China Glaze Mistletoe Kisses

I finally wore CG Mistletoe Kisses today, and really, really like it. I don't know why it took me so long to use it. I've had it since the day it came out! It's a perfect Christmas green. It reminds me of Christmas trees, and it also reminds me of spearmint leaves. Is that odd? Sometimes polish reminds me of the strangest things. LOL!

Mistletoe Kisses is a green glitter in a green base. I got perfect coverage with two coats, and really could have gotten away with ONE! MK is a really great green to have if you are a green lover. :-)

I hope you all have a good night, and are staying warm! It's too cold here!

Zoya Sweet, Plus CG Party Hearty, Equals Christmas Candy! ;-)

Good morning! How was your weekend? Mine was good. I *think* I have everything ready for the Holidays here. Finally! My to do list was a mile long! Well, it sure felt like it anyway. ;-)

Today I have on Zoya Sweet with one coat of China Glaze Party Hearty over top. I'm really liking this combo. It reminds me of Christmas candy! :-) This is the first time I've used Sweet, and it went on really well for a pink. I sometimes have problems with pinks being streaky, but not this one. Application was two coats plus one coat PH.

Here are a few pics. of Sweet on it's own.

Thanks for looking, and have a great day! :-)

A weeks's worth of manis. Lots of different polishes and lots of pics! :-)

Hello, and happy Friday! :-) Wow, It's been an entire week since I last blogged....again. I'm so sorry about that. I promise I'm still around. The last couple of weeks have been absolutely crazy busy. First of all, I want to thank all of you who left comments and sent messages about my horse, Shortcake. I can't even begin to tell you how much it means to me. I'm happy to say, that she has been home for a week, and is doing very well. I've been checking on her four plus times a day. We have her at stables, since we don't live in the country...yet. We are very lucky that she is only about 5 min. from our house though. Anyway, between checking in on her, getting the house ready for Christmas, shopping for Christmas, having a car in the shop, meeting friends for Christmas get togethers I've just been super busy. I've still been doing my nails, taking pics. and picking up polish. I have a sad though. As of yesterday, I am back to my nubbins. :-( :-( I had a bit of a split in one of my nails yesterday. It wasn't too bad, and would have been possible to save. Before I could get to it though, I completely broke another nail. :-( So, I had to cut them all back down, and now they are short again. I hate it! It took me SEVEN months to get my nails the length they were, and now I have to start all over again. Ugh.

Here are pics. of most of my manis. from the past week. BEFORE I had to go back to nubbins. :-( The only pics. of my nails now, are the last pics. and that's what I have on today.

Okay, on to the good stuff. :-)

This is China Glaze Emerald Sparkle....LOVE this polish!

I then added a coat of Sally Hansen Rockstar Pink over top. It made me think of Christmas trees with lights.

Close up

This is a new Sally Hansen polish I picked up last week. It's called Peach Pave. It's a really pretty dark pink/peach color with gold flakes in it.

I added one coat of Pure Ice Dreamy over top.

Milani Red Sparkle is one of the new one coat glitters. These are awesome polishes! They actually really do only require one coat! First pic. is with top coat and the second is without.

Pure Ice Celestial is a great royal blue jelly. I think this color is normally called First Kiss or something like that. For some reason, I got a mixed up bottle. Celestial is usually a frosty blue which I would not have bought! lol

Next up is the silver holo Snowman polish. It's not really all that holo, but there are a few pieces in there. It looks much more holo in the bottle than it does on the nail.

With one coat of $OPI Flurry Up! On top. Super blingy!

Orly Rockin' Rocket

With one coat of CND Gold Sparkle on top

Now for today's mani. and my nubbins. :-( I am really bummed about this. Is that silly?!? Anyway, here they are....Ugh.

I started out with one coat of China Glaze Party Hearty....one of the best Christmas polishes ever IMO. ;-)

I then added a coat of OPI Funny Bunny over Party Hearty

and with two coats of Funny Bunny over Party Hearty

Whew! That was a lot of pics. How have you all been? Are you as busy as I've been lately?

I hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing weekend! :-)
